What to Bring

Packing List

  • Appropriate Clothing (see Convention Rules below for dress code)
  • Summer Carnival attire for banquet night
  • Swimsuit (see Dress Code)
  • Bedding: pillow, sleeping bag OR twin sheets and blanket.
    • Pack these in a bag of some kind, even if just a trash bag and label it with your name.
  • Reusable Water Bottle (labeled with your name)
  • Toiletries: soap, shampoo, washcloth, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, hand soap, paper towels, Kleenex
  • Towels: beach towel, bath towel and wash cloth
  • Sunscreen
  • Insect Repellent
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Sunglasses and/or Hat
  • Bible
  • Pen and Notepad
  • Necessary Medications
  • Spending Money (Optional) for arcade games, camp souvenirs, and the camp snack store. This is optional. There will be plenty of other free activities aand snacks available.
  • Closed Toe and Closed Heel Shoes: required for the zip-lines and other activities
  • You may want to bring an over the door hook, mirror, chargers, plastic/trash bangs for wet/dirty clothes or bedding, fan, etc.

What not to bring

  • Illegal drugs, smoking, vaping, chewing tobacco, or alcohol
  • Over-the-counter sleep inhibitors such as No-Doze, Monster, etc.
  • Knives, matches, lighters, fireworks, or any type of weapon.
  • Skateboards, roller skates, or shoes with built in skates.
  • Electronic devices other than cell phone.

Activity Requirements

Many of the activities at SpringHill Camp require certain shoes or shorts for safety. Participants must adhere to guidelines, or they cannot participate in the activity.

  • Sturdy Shorts: Required for zip-lines. Sturdy shorts typically have beltloops and are made from denim, khaki, or heavy cotton. Students wearing gym/basketball/running shorts, yoga pants or similar casual clothing will not be allowed to participate in and will be excluded from ziplines.
  • Closed-Toe and Closed Heel Shoes: Required for zip-lines, bazooka ball, axe throwing, and archery tag.
  • For women: Shorts are recommended to be worn over swimsuits, even in the water.

Dress Code

Choice of clothing for all events, including swimming and the banquet, will be modest and demonstrate love for God and the neighbor.

  • For Women: Swimsuits must have full-covering tops & bottoms with no bare midriffs. Shirts and shorts must be worn over swimsuits whenever you are not swimming.
    • Clothing must not expose the trunk part of the body in any position (e.g. shirts that can leave a bare midriff, chest, or sides). Shorts or skirts must be at least mid-thigh length. Sports bras and leggings are not independently-sufficient coverings.
  • For Men: No shirts with sides cut out or torn sleeves. Shirts must be worn whenever you are not swimming.
    • Hats may not be worn during devotions, speeches, or discussion groups.
  • Shirts, shorts, and shoes must be worn when inside all buildings
  • If a chaperone thinks your clothing is inappropriate, you will be asked to change. Additional violations will be referred to the Discipline Committee.
